Protests aren’t over, says former NYPD boss | On Balance
Former NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly joined “On Balance” to assess the performance of police in America’s two biggest cities in dealing with campus protesters. He says a big advantage the New York force had over protestors was the sheer number of officers it could deploy at the city’s universities. By contrast, Kelly says Los Angeles had to use city, county and state officers to arrest protesters at UCLA. He also predicts more protests, but not necessarily violent ones.
