Chris Cuomo

Chris Cuomo serves as anchor of NewsNation’s CUOMO (weeknights, 8 p.m. ET). He joined the network in July 2022.

With over two decades of experience as an investigative journalist and television news anchor, Mr. Cuomo has interviewed presidents and world leaders, reported from war zones, covered the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and shared hundreds of powerful, eye-opening stories impacting the lives of everyday Americans.

During his tenure at NewsNation, Mr. Cuomo has spoken with key political figures such as Gov. of California Gavin Newsom, former Gov. Chris Christie, presidential candidates Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Dean Phillips, and celebrities Kanye West, Sean Penn, Sherri Shepard, and Dr. Phil. He has also traveled to the frontlines of the war in Ukraine and at the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

Most recently, Mr. Cuomo hosted CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time, one of the highest-rated shows on cable news, and co-anchored the network’s three-hour morning show, New Day.

Previously, he served as chief law and justice correspondent and anchor of ABC’s 20/20, and Good Morning America. Prior to ABC News, he was a correspondent and political policy analyst for Fox News Channel. Mr. Cuomo began his career as an attorney, following his graduation from Fordham School of Law.

Mr. Cuomo has received multiple Emmy Award nominations and was recognized with a News Emmy for his profile of 12-year-old poet Mattie Stepanek at ABC, making him one of the youngest correspondents to ever receive the award. Additionally, he has received Polk and Peabody Awards for team news coverage and his work has also been recognized with a national Edward R. Murrow Award for breaking news coverage, a Gerald Loeb Award for Business Reporting, and an American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award for Investigative News.
